Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I have given your post it's own thread as you had posted your question in another ongoing thread. I have done this so as not to disrupt that thread, please start a new thread for your issues in future as what you did was hijack that thread which is against Forum Rules.

Now to your issue, are you trying to create new entries in these apps? To do this you need to press the + sign and this will bring up your keypad. If you already have items in these apps you would like to edit then pressing on the item should bring up the keypad. Is this happening for you? Let us know and if not we will offer you some more advice.

The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. Sometimes when I go onto my notepad app, the lines on the paper disappear and so do some of the keys on the keyboard of my iPad 1, all I did was reboot my iPad, after that, it was good as new. Try rebooting it.
