How can I make shelves so I can organize my iPad. Also I would like to know if I can lock a bookshelf instead of locking the whole device. I let my 6 year old play color pages and child games. But I don't want her to pick an app that I have that is inappropriate for her. Thanks in advance for helping me!

I'm a little confused - what do you mean by "making a bookshelf"? Do you mean sorting books within a reading app or making a folder to put various alike apps within? If it's the latter, press and hold any icon until it "wiggles." Then, select an icon to put in a folder and then drag it on top of another icon you want in the folder. They'll merge together and that's it, you've made a folder. Then, while the icons are still wiggling, you can drag any icon into that folder. You can also name that folder so you can easily ID it or move the folder around for better arrangement on your screen.

Once you are done making folders, press the Home button to stop the wiggling.

As far as locking folders to prevent access by your youngster - I'm afraid that's not possible. Sorry.

Yeah I know how to do that. I was just wondering if there is an app out there that someone knows of that could do that. I got pimp my iPad and it had backgrounds for shelves and icon skins for the main screen. Also I saw a friend that had an iPhone that she could bundle and put a background screen on it too. Maybe I am just delusional...lol I think my iPad is smarter than me! Thanks again for helping me!
