I dropped my iPad 3 twice, leaving dents on all three corners.. (I only had a SmartCover which fell off easily as the iPad fell) At first, although really really sad, I was just gonna hide the dents with a case, but I noticed that the screen has been shifted up and kind of tilted to the right. The bottom of the screen has a black space while the upper part is full. And I'm noticing unusual heating of the iPad, although Im not sure if it is because of the accident... It used to play videos without heating but now it gets really hot even though I'm just web surfing... The screen is not cracked and I think everything else is fine. Oh I forgot, there is also a small gap between the white thin part of the screen and the aluminum back cover... I want to know if I can get a free replacement. It's so sad because it's only been about 5 days since I got it.. I cannot go to an apple store because I'm currently not in the US but I'm going back in 2 weeks. On the Internet I've seen many people getting a free replacement but they all had major damages so I wonder if I can get one. Thank you.

Nobody here can guarantee anything of the kind, all you can do is try and hope for the best.

OMG you had it for 5 days and you dropped it twice. I doubt you will get a replacement unless you opted for the AppleCare plus warranty at extra cost. That's precisely the reason they push this warranty.

Most likely you can get it replaced at half price. Good luck
