Quick question. If a router does not have Wi-Fi capability, will I be able to connect using Internet Connection Sharing on a PC that is wired to the router or will I have to get a dedicated Wi-Fi ADSL Router etc.

If the laptop has a wifi card than it is possible to turn your PC into a wifi hotspot with something like connectify.
getting a wifi router would be the best thing to do.

Places like Newegg have wireless routers starting at $20!

Connectify problem
I have connectify installed and ipad can see the connection.
Documents to go will sync using using connectify connection, however Safari and the Times app both say no internet connection available.
laptop and connectify are both set for internet sharing.
Does anybody else have this issue or a possible solution?

Me too, I tried to tick in front of the "Allow other network users to connect... Internet connection" already, but it's still not working
