Did you sign out of your account on your iPad? If not do that then sign back on with your new ID and password.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Your iPad Apple ID will still be the old one until you change it. Go to the app store in settings and press your ID, sign out of the old one and then sign in with the new one, you can also access it through the App store under Top Charts, Featured or Purchased Headings, just scroll to the bottom. I hope you realize that's apps bought under the old ID will still need to be updated under this ID
