    iPad 2 won't restore

    Hey all! I'm a new iPad 2 user (actually, my wife is) and last night she said that it said "uploading" and then next time I saw it it had the picture of the cable pointing at iTunes. I researched and it said that the iPad was in restore mode. I attached it to my wife's PC via a front USB slot and tried restoring the iPad. iTunes is the most up to date version so after the 20 minute download, it tried restoring but said an "unknown error has occurred". I did more research and thought it may have been the USB I was attached to so I switched to a rear USB but I have the same result.

    What is my next step?
