I pad is with me on hols and have a free
Wifi connection in hotel switched on
I receive e mails ok but can't send any e mails
I am with virgin.Net ....my I pad is both wifi and 3G
But 3 g is switched off and no sim card in at present
What settings do I need on my I pad to
Enable me to send emails?

Is this using the built in Mail app? Are your emails sitting in your "Outgoing" folder?

The hotel may be blocking the port that is used for you outgoing email server.
Like the poster above said, try using the website email client as that should work.

smtp authentication again...
does your ISP allow "POP before SMTP"?
per above, its the easiest to do webbased email, if you don't understand SMTP authentication issues...
