Unfortunately you cannot do that, but if you exit an app you're able to go back onto it and it'll be in the exact way it was when you exited.

And you can do a four finger sideways swipe to go straight to that app......it's so quick it's like having both apps open at once!

How does that work please. I went straight from the PC world to iPad so i have a big curve :-)

Please can you tell me if there is a way to make a shortcut on the Ipad? For example, I get fed up with tying my email address so many times and it would be great to be able to e.g. tap a key combination to insert it. When I saw the title of this thread I thought that I might find the answer here!
