Hi, I'm new today. I hope someone can help. I have an iPad2 and a Cambridge audio id100. I use the dock for digital audio out. My problem is when connected to the dock video is forced to the dock. I want video to remain on the iPad screen. I've tried disconnecting pins 8,9,&10 through an extension cable to no avail. Seems the solution may be a certain r value through 21 or something. Please help, sounds like you guys now it all. Thank you

Hi Roger,

I'm afraid that once the iPad 2 is docked with the iD100 the two will effectively 'handshake' and the video signal will be automatically be output to the video output of the iD100. This is not something that can be changed.

Could i continue the post with some questions concerning the Id100? I have a client of mine who owns an Azure 840a v2 amplifier. He requested a docking station that can serve for his iPod 4G, iPhone 4S, iPad and new iPad. I was thinking of providing him with the CA Id100 docking station, but i am not sure of a few things.
1) can it be connected directly to the Azure using XLR balanced input of the amplifier or do i need MagicDac for this job?
2) will it be compatible with all the above devices? I saw the Firmware update in the CA website, referring to iPad2 support only.
3) when i dock the devices, for reproducing music through itunes, will the monitor of ipad/ipod,iphone remain on so he can control his media?
