does itunes allow transfer of word documents? If so, what settings do I use on itunes when I am syncing my ipad. If not, how do I get text into my ipad from my pc? Thank you in advance for all tutoring. Cheers

Just like on a PC or Mac you have to have an application capable of reading a Word doc in order to view it.

If you want to view and edit MS Documents. (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) I recommend Documents to Go. There are others like Pages for Word Docs only, Office2...... Etc.

With Documents to Go you can use something like Dropbox for cloud computing, or just drag and drop in iTunes....

Ray, you can also [as an alternative] save your word doc in text format. It depends on what you are going to use it for in the iPad.
