If you go to the iOS section of this Forum you'll find detailed instructions there on how to update your iPad to iOS5.

Plug it into a computer and launch Itunes. From there you can select "Update" and it will tell you if there is a update available or not.

Go to general & settings. Then you will see that there is a iOS update option & do this over the wireless connection & it is as simple as that!

Hi and Welcome to the Forum!

Whenever there is a new update for the iPad, developers will also update their apps so that they will run smoothly with it. You should have no trouble with your apps, but having said that sometimes bugs only appear after the update is released. Developers then will update again to fix this.

Welcome to the forum! As long as you follow the directions for the iOS 5.0.1 upgrade there won't be any impact to your apps, etc.

There are a lot of great people here willing to lend a hand anytime. Often using the Search box (at the top-left of every page) will lead you to the answers you're looking for. If not, feel free to post a question in the appropriate area.
