For some reason when I press the home and power switch to take a screen shot on my ipad2--rather than take a picture, it shows the lock slide to power off. Am I missing something?

Problem resolved...I was pressing to long. I didn't realize it was a quick push of both buttons together. Thanks everybody!

You just press them both together momentarily and the screen should flash as if a picture was taken. Don't hold them down too long...
