Way to block sender in email?

Mail is working great for me, but was always able to "block sender" on
my PC to filter out the junk emails. When downloading my mail from
the server onto my iPad all that junk mail comes thru. Is there a way
to "block sender" on the iPad mail system?
Searched the forums and couldn't find anything on this...

Using my PC, I set up a rule on my gmail account to delete emails from certain senders. Those emails never get to my iPad or iPhone.

Where do you go to set up the rule? Your main computer? Where? I looked at my Gmail account under Settings/Mail and couldn't see where or how to set up a rule. Thanks for helping. Colby

Yes. I did it from the PC. It may be possible to do it from Safari on the iPad. I haven't checked, but I will.

On the website version of gmail hit the GEAR button on the right side of the screen, then:

    Settings/Filters/Create a new filter

A popup box will appear giving options for creating the filter. You can filter according to:

    Sent from

    Sent to

    Subject

    Has the words

    Doesn't have

There is also a checkbox to filter emails with attachments.

    This was checked on Chrome.

You can easily delete your filters as they are listed with an edit/delete button on the Settings/Filters screen.

Filters do not appear to be available in the gmail mobile site.
