How do I delete an email address from my iPad2 even if the address in NOT on my contacts list please?

If you are talking about the recommendations that you get when you start typing an email address in Mail, then you can't. There is no way to clear this list. The list is not endless. If you ignore it long enough the email will eventually disappear if you don't select it, though depending on your use habits it could take a long time. Fortunately the choices you do select tend to migrate to the top of the suggestion.

What a pain - but thank you anyway.
