Hi everybody,

I just ran in to a very annoying problem with my 32GB wifi iPad. I can't update apps. When i click on update i get the ballon message to input the itunes password, but instead of my itunes account i am getting Steve Wozniak's account, and obviously i don't know his password .

When i am buying an app, i get the same ballon but with my correct address.
My question is: Why i get Steve's account when i try to update?
I need to mention that my ipad is jb.

Are you trying to update cracked apps that you downloaded from installous?

Friends have had similar issues on their iPhones. You have two options, delete the apps that won't update, and download them again. Or completely restore and start again.

This goes for both, instalous apps or bought/free apps from the app store.
If i restore what is the guarantee that i wont run in to this problem again?

Did you buy this iPad used?

No, is brand new from the apple store on 5th avenue. I think i got this issue since i jb.

I feel like the whole story isn't being told her for some reason. Why would a jailbroken iPad / iTunes suddenly link itself to another user? I have never heard of this before. I'm certainly not going to accuse the OP of stealing the device but it sure sounds like it was either returned and resold without resetting or stolen. I can't think of how else it could be linked to someone else's account. Highly suggest a full restore.

Of all the iPads in all the Apple stores in all the world, he got one that once belonged to Woz? No. It's some jailbreak app writer's idea of a joke.
