When I click on the bottom desktop icon of the flower...I see all my pictures in one photo album. How do I create a new album with a different category...like a family album..a vacation album...a work album?

what computer do you have?

you have to create those albums(folders), on the computer, and then select them in iTunes under the photo sections of sync, to sync to iPad.

iOS 5 in a few days(october), should allow creating folders(albums) on the device.

this is Mac, where you can use an app on the Mac known as iPhoto, to organize your photo's in albums, events, faces, your Facebook photos, and then you can select iPhoto in iTunes, and select the ones you need...maybe an album might not be yours(your son pet iguana), that you don't need on your iPad.
