    Ipad 2 shutdown passcode

    good day guys,

    hey guys i need to know is there any softwares that require you to enter passcode before shutdown the ipad 2?

    You can change the 'Autolock' time in the iPad's 'Settings' menu, so you can set it to 'Never' or a much shorter time, if you prefer.

    i need to prevent someones shutdown my ipad 2 if someones steal it, so findmyipad still working.. i try not to unlock my ipad 2 but i can directly shutdown if so i cant track it.. what i think if shutdown need to enter passcode the one who steal my ipad 2 cant do anything... i think.. just a matter of time i find him.

    If the iPad is left in Sleep mode, then FindMyPad is still working. Even if the iPad is switched off, the thief then wouldn't be able to use the iPad, of course, without switching it on and, of course, then FindMyPad would be activated.

    However, it's all rather academic because any thief would simply restore the iPad to its factory default settings, in which case the FindMyPad function would be disabled. It was never really intended to find stolen iPads, rather to locate mislaid ones.

    umm was thinking if i lost my ipad i can track it real-time asap and prevent the thief to shutdown my ipad.. hmmmmm.. i think is the only way to find my ipad is my engraved? haha

    Most Members have found that FindMyPad is fairly useless for recovering stolen iPads. Most thieves know only too well how to defeat this function; as I mentioned, its only real use is for recovering lost iPads.

    Insurance is the best protection....
