can someone please help me delete a photo album

my ipad is synced to my windows 7 64 bit PC. during a back up, it created a duplicate album on my ipad called "ipad 2 backup". there is no option to delete either the album or the individual pictures in it. i know this can/must be done from my PC but i don't know how to do it.
i believe it's causing a problem that's not allowing my camera connection kit to work - because it (the CCK) works perfectly on my husbands ipad
the only other album on my ipad is the camera roll which is fine
    thanks in advance.
btw: i made an earlier post about the camera connection kit but didn't mention that i need to delete this album from my ipad.

update: this issue is now resolved - thanks for your help

With the iPad connected to the computer, select it under the Devices listing iTunes. Then select the Photos page at the top.

Changing these settings, or directly deleting (or better moving) the folders that you are set to sync to is the only way to remove synced photos and albums from the iPad.
The folder you have selected will sync subfolders, unless you set it to Selected folders, in which case it will only sync the folder you select.

Hope this is clue enough to solver your problem.

thank you so much - i synced my ipad to my computer - selected photos from all the photo folders there - the only folder checked was ipad2 backup - so i unchecked it and now it's gone from my iPad.

i really thought this was somehow inhibiting my camera connection kit from working - but it's still not working.

i rebooted - reset the ipad -- still nothing

but the CCK works perfectly on my husbands ipad so i'm really confused.

do you have a suggestion? i got my ipad in may - my husband got his in aug. they are both wifi 64 gb but mine also has verizon which i never use.

Twerp, I am not following this or your recommendations, and I still have 1000+ photos on my iPad2 that I want to delete, but I don't want to check every one of those photos on the iPad2 to delete them.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I'm not sure if this will be helpful to you but this is what i do. I have one folder on my computer with lots of subfolders of my different holidays in side it, and this folder is specifically for my iPad photo content and I copy photos from the rest of my computer in to this folder if I want them on my iPad. Any changes I want to make to my ipad photos need to be made in the iPad computer folder first, then when I connect my iPad to the computer through iTunes, I sync that one folder, and the current content of that folder ( and all its sub-folders of course) is what goes on to the iPad. So to delete your 1000 photos, I think you could create a new folder on your computer, and put all the content you do want on there, and make sure this is the only folder selected in iTunes to sync. This should remove the 1000 in one go.

    Thanks,
If you are talking about the camera roll, then you should be able to see and delete them from the computer (Windows). When the iPad is connected it should show up as a USB drive.

Tried that, it didn't work (although I might have erred somehow too).

I'm not talking about the camera roll T. I want to keep that if possible. I just want to delete the 1000+ "imports"

The imports should be found in a subfolder(s) in the DCIM folder I mentioned before. You can copy and then delete the entire folder.

Edit: Just checked and saw I forgot to mention the photos would be in the DCIM folder. On my iPad the import folders are named xxxIMPRT, where xxx is a sequential number. The 100APPLE folder is where photos and movies taken woth the iPad's camera (and screenshots) reside.
