why would the iPad not allow for the calendaring sync to show up when I use exchange

Sorry, going to need more information than that. Who is your mail account with, and how did you set the account up on the iPad?

Thanks for following up. I have an Exchange Server, and use Outlook from my desktop. I want to use the same calendar from the iPad. To get that account setup I follow the iPad "wizard". I know it is a PC term, but I am converting. Ultimately, through my company I plan to have an iPad for very teacher, student and administrator.....thanks

I know many people can get their calendars to sync with an Exchange server. Unfortunately that's not something I know much about, or can play with. Hopefully someone else with more Exchange experience will come along.

In the mean time it is possible to set up calendar syncing with individual calendars on a server using the iCal (.ics files) or CalDAV standard. Choose the Other account option and see if you can set something up that way.

The interesting part is I have it on my iPad, but one of my board members does not. I am wondering if he missed
a check box or something. I also wonder if my iPad works to sync the iPad to my Exchange because I subscribe
to MobileMe

I don't think MobileMe should make a difference, unless you've subscribed to that Exchange calendar in MobileMe. I think that is possible. If so it would show up on the me.com site as well.
