There are a number of apps out there that will convert videos into a format that's compatible with the iPad. I use Handbrake - it's free and handles most formats, so give it a try and see if it can convert your files.

Good morning Tim, is "Handbrake" for the PC or Ipad2? My PC is down right mow! looking for something that I can use on the Ipad2 I know it may be wishful thinking! But a closed mouth doesn't get fed....lol

I don't know of anything for the iPad - all the conversion programs are for either the Mac or PC.

What is the file extension?
I suppose you could try OPlayer to see if it will play the file without converting. There is a free lite version.
