    Safari problem

Ipad seems fine I can use different apps to get to different sites, but when I
try to use safari I get a shaded screen(like when you select it). I can type in the google box a search and it will take me to a search page but I cannot select a website screen stays darkened. also I cannot select my bookmarks.
I have tried the usual reboot, hooked up to Macbook, still no luck

Try this: Hold down your power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

Let the iPad reboot. Then try using Safari.

    Keep us posted!

Testament to how good the I pad is, I have used It constantly for over a year and never needed to reboot it. Thank you SweetPoison!

Just for clarification, when you say powered down you held down the power button until the power off slider appeared, then slid it off? Just asking because I've know a few who though tapping it turned the power off. All that does is put the iPad to sleep.

Powering off usually fixes the Safari problem described, though in some instances the reboot (also called a reset) is needed.
