You can use your iPad to access your Mac - SplashTop is a great app for that - but not the other way around. This is because apps in the iPad are isolated - 'sandboxed' and cannot interact with each other, which is what would be required for your request. Apple did this deliberately to protect the iPad against virus infection, since now a virus would be unable to affect any other app in the iPad.
