I can not get this to work! The first time I uploaded my movies it automatically put them in alphabetical order even though that's not the way I presented them.

Then I created a playlist and put them in the order that I wanted but the minute I paste the files into my IPAD they create their own order, alphabetical again!

Then I tried to trick it by putting a letter in front of each movie title ... example A. TERMINATOR B. L.A. CONFIDENTIAL C. HALLOWEEN D. GLADIATOR .... etc etc ... AND I put them in order, but the second I paste them into the the IPAD the order is all mixed up, except this time it's not even alphabetical it's almost random except that many letters of the alphabet are together but many are not

Then I tried a similar system using numbers preceeding each title and that didn't work either!

At first I tried all these with a small sample of movies like 4-5 and it seemed like it was going to work, but when I put a large sample in it doesn't work at all.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to put my movies in a specific order?

I'm not sure as I havnt tried it but maybe try adding them one by one

Not a bad idea, I'll give that a try later tonight when I get home, but I suspect that it will still put them in alphabetical as each new movie is added doing it that way.

So no one else has wanted to put their movies in order on their IPAD? Or you have and haven't succeeded?

For anyone wanting to put their movies in a specific order I finally figured it out!

In I-Tunes select a movie and right click on it. Go to GET INFO and then the SORTING tab. Under that tab is "NAME" and "SORT NAME" ... it's this 2nd one that you want. Put your alphabet ordering here i.e. A- HALLOWEEN, B - L.A. CONFIDENTIAL C - THE AVIATOR D - VACATION E - BLADE RUNNER .... your movies will now be loaded onto the IPAD in "alphabetical" based on the "SORT NAME". You don't even have to use the movie name if you don't want.
