I have seen it all. While checking out some images on google I clicked on a picture and it popped up a windows scene saying my windows was infected and did I want to try and fix it. I didn't know my ipad2 ran windows. It was sure realistic.

iPads don't run windows and they typically do not get "infected."
That PITA malware's been around a long time. Windoze only.
xD
So it showed you a windows screenshot saying your iPad has been infected? Definitely a scam attempt to get you into paying for a so called 'antivirus' software, which than installs a few Trojans.
Best to avoid that site altogether.
Lol, that's probably the site offering for $69 to fix the 3300 viruses it found in your computer.......
I do all the computer repair for where I work (over 600 employees) and I fix coworkers personal computers at times. A girl I work with recently brought me her laptop to repair after her boyfriend fell for that scam (and paid the $69). Obviously it didn't fix anything and just made things worse.
It was such an invasive program I ended up formatting the hard drive and doing a clean install of Windows 7 Pro to fix it. When I asked her why she didn't just bring the LT to me to fix in the first place, she said her BF had been checking out porno sites (that's what caused the virus problems in the first place) and was scared to tell her........
It turned out she could care less what sites he was looking at, she was just mad that he messed up her computer.......

I didn't bother with sandboxie as she has so few programs /apps etc installed at this point that its no big deal to reinstall windows if necessary.
I did use Paragon to make a full system backup image to an external USB hard drive.

Next time take a screen shot. That would be interesting!
Yes I just saw that in one image that I was looking, this is nothing but a normal adware/spyware for windows. I don't think it will do nothing to our iPads at all.
Anyway, see attachments
