We gave my mother-in-law an iPad for her 90th. She seems to like it. When things go wrong, it comes back to me. Unfortunately, I am a Windows guy. But you folks have been helpful in the past, so I am hoping you will be again.
The problem does not happen with every app. With the apps that it does happen, it is quite consistent. The symptom is that the screen will suddenly go black and then you are back at the app screen.
On certain game apps (AW Solitaire, Labryinth Lite, Angry Birds HD free, but not Sudoku HD or Domino Touch) the splash screen will appear and maybe a little of the startup but then the reset occurs.
Calendar and iBooks seem OK but Maps does the splash and reset thing.
IMDB and the Weather Channel seem stable as rocks.
Safari, on the other hand, is just weird. I can call up my church website without problems. I can call up evernote.com and sit at the login screen without problem. But when I login, it starts to pull in the data and seems to get it almost there and then resets. CNN.com will display contents on a page but when the green loading indicator gets to the far right of the address bar, then it resets.
No sign of any kind of error message, of course.
