Hi! when I open Itunes IPAD after sign in, the music icon, videos and movies never show up, only podcasts, U Itunes and downloads icons. Any thougts and help? Many thanks...

When things start acting a bit weird, it's a good idea to completely shut the iPad off and restart. You should probably do this at least once a week (my unsupported opinion on frequency.)

Just hold down the power button for about three seconds. You'll get a power off slider. Go ahead and slide it off. Wait until the iPad completely shuts down and then restart it by holding down the power button for about three seconds again.

For more serious problems, when shutting it off doesn't work, you can do a soft reset. Hold down the power and home button for about 10 to 15 seconds, or until the Apple logo appears. Let go and wait for it to reboot. This will take a few minutes, so be patient.

I already did that! Looks like a setting thing, I don't know, because If I try to go to music Itunes store from another link, inmediatly redirect only to podcasts...!

The iPad has a cunning plan up its sleeve....

You'd expect that movies and music that you sync'd from your PC or downloaded from the iTunes store app on your iPad to end up - well - in iTunes. Sounds sort of obvious to me...

But that would make life *far* too easy....

So, just to make life interesting, the iPad iTunes store app and the sync operation store movies in the iPad's 'Videos' app and music in the iPad's 'iPod' app - and doesn't bother to tell you about this...

Have a look and see if they're there...

Originally I guessed you were using the iTunes app on the iPad to look for music to purchase. I'm wondering if I've got the wrong impression. Could you describe what apps and what you are trying to do more completely?

And to be clear, you did the soft reset, not just the power off an on?

There are no iTunes settings on the iPad. The only other settings that might make a difference are the Restrictions. I tried all of those that seemed relevant and could not duplicate what I thought your problem is.

Me too... There is no music icon on my iPad2 even the itunes on my laptop if someone knows how to fix this problem please post!!!

What store (country) is your account in?

Though it seems unlikely, it is possible Apple does not sell music in your country.

The music icon was missing. After restarting everything's fine.

i have exactly same problem as yours. The problem is the music icon locate in wrong folder,so i just moving it using ifile to to the right directory and it done. Im jailbreaked it first
