I don't know what's going on?

I know I had power (around 40% last I looked).

Now it won't go on at all.

Any ideas?

After 3 times, the soft restart finally worked?

Guess I did not hold it down long enough.

Boy do I feel better.

It can take 10 to 15 seconds of holding the buttons before the ipad will soft reset. That can feel quite long. The sure method is simply to hold them until you see the Apple logo.

I had the same problem last weekend. Indeed, holding down the home and power buttons for around ten seconds worked for me. What an awful moment. I thought my life was over. Now I realize how dependent I've become on my six month old iPad.
