Tap the box with an arrow through it. The bookmark option has been moved the the actions there.

Ok. I feel like an idiot, but I blame it on being new Apple products.

No reason to. No matter how intuitive the interface is, there is always something new to use. And to be fair this is one of the less intuitive quirks. That symbol usually hold things like sharing and printing options.

I've noticed lately that a lot of developers, and even Apple occasionally, have been using it as a catch all menu for things that don't seem to belong anywhere else.

    Bookmarks

The plus sign isn't there anymore...but my problem is I can't see the list of bookmarks that I haven't placed on the bookmarks bar. And I can't figure out how to delete a bookmark from the bar. I'm obviously missing a step somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To see all the bookmarks tap the icon that looks like an open book. To delete them tap the book icon, navigate to the bookmark you want to delete, swipe it to the left, and tap the delete button that appears.

To delete more than one bookmark at a time, tap the edit button at the top of the bookmark list. You can also rearrange them this way.
