Thread: Please help

I am going crazy. I got an IPad for christmas and so far have not been on the internet with it. i have my WI-FI connected ok but cant seem to get Safari working. When I tap the blue arrow beside the Wi-Fi number there is no ip address showing. Should there be one?
I'm 58 and my son bought me the IPad for christmas.

Does your router use WEP security? If so, that is probably the issue. You'd need to either open it up (no security, and not recommended), or change the security to WPA on the router.

Thank you for your reply My pin number has WPA written beside it. Is that what you mean?

Ahhhh! problem solved. I rang my Wi-Fi people. They did something and I am now online. Its great!
