Just received a new 32gb iPad with WiFi and 3G as a gift. I already use the iPhone 4, so these programs are not totally new to me.

However, the Map application that comes on the iPad doesn't show the map. It shows a blue dot where I am, and even displays my address (or close), but no map is drawn, just a gray screen with a grid.

I also have Google Earth on my iPhone, and it works fine, but on my iPad, it just sits there. It doesn't know where I am. But, I also have a Latitude/Longitude program called "Here I Am", and it figures out where I am quickly, with no problem.

So what's the problem here? Some sort of mapping issue, maybe?

The map is a 250M file that includes Google earth.
Try reload it from the store.
It works great.

Just got it to work properly, both the included Map app and Google Earth. Still not sure what the issue was.
