I want to put my books I had on my Nook, and found them at B&N and now they are in my Nook app ~ I wanna put them on that really cool bookshelf on the home page.

iBooks is S-L-O-W.
Nope! Books that you buy are wrapped in what is called DRM or Digital Rights Management and you would have to "un-wrap" the DRM from those books in order for them to be viewed on another reading app.
Since the books you bought are copyright protected, that means unwrapping the DRM would be violating the rights and of course you also know that means we can't talk about that here!
