Hi, i just got my ipad yesterday and its my first apple product. So i downloaded itunes and connected my ipad to the computer using pc cable but nothing's happening. I don't know if there's a problem with my ipad, the computer or i missed something.

If you don't get the windows 'found new hardware' beep when you connect, try a different port. In that case it sounds like a computer problem. Can you give a little more info? Mac or Windows and which version?

No i don't get that windows 'found new hardware' beep when i connect, ive tried all ports. Im using windows XP. Yesterday i tried connecting it to a Macbook, ive also tried using a different pc cable, still nothing's happening. Is it possible that the ipad is defective? Also it won't charge.
