I was playing a game of soduku, when all of a suddenthe ipad froze. No matter what I press or tap, nothing gives.

According to the manual and what I gathered from other websites:

1. Press the home button and hold: No reponse
2. Press the ON button and hold: No response
3. Press them both together and hold: No response

I tried to let the battery drain, hoping it would turn off, but didnt help.

Now I need help from real Apple gurus.

Hold a little longer.

Do number 3 and hold for about 10+ sec until the apple icon comes up, then release. Wait, it may take a while to come up. Also if you have run the battery down, charge it for about 10 - 15 min first.

I have charged the ipad overnight, so far it did not come up.

Can someone please suggest a solution.

They might have a great sense of humor, but they weren't kidding!

Seriously....

Hold down the Home button then hold down the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen. This can take 10-15 seconds so be patient.



If this does not work, it may be time to restore your iPad... seriously!

Apparently when I had on the charger, it wasnt getting charged, the next morning I realised that and got it charged, it came back up as strong as a horse.

My next question is: What caused it to freeze, is it possible the game I downloaded? I deleted the game immediately after that.

hi experts;
i jailbroke my ipad (ver 3.2.2) but decided to restore it. After syncing, saw that limera1n still there n tried to reset thru settings. After selecting "Erase all content n settings" , my ipad went blank n started to reboot (ie apple logo with round spiral) , but it hung after that.

tried holding power n home button for more than 10secs n the same thing happened.

any advice???

Restore again.
