Now its official that my ipad would turn itself off after a few minutes. So instead of going into standby even if I don't do any activity, it just tunr itself off.
Help

Have you tried a different outlet or cable? If it keeps making the connection sound then its either pulsing the power which is very bad for it...or its not making a clean connection.
hi gentlefury,
i tried a different outlet and the beeping sound stopped.
but here are the problems now:
1. i charged for 2 hours and the battery stays at 76pct during this time.
2. i unplugged the charger, battery shows 76pct. several minutes later battery meter jumped to 96pct and then reached 100pct. strange...
3. i use the device. it's still turning off by itself every few minutes, and i have to restart again.
i already removed sbsettings, just to be safe.
If the beeping stopped that means you have a bad outlet...but you may have already damaged the device. I would say back it up, restore it to 3.2.2 clean no jailbreak and bring it to apple to exchange. Let them know it won't charge correctly and it keeps turning off...they will give you a new one and take yours. They will basically send it back, tear it apart and refurb it.

The battery level indicator is known to be a bit "flakey" or innacurate at times. This is why Apple suggests that you let your iPad's battery drain completely until the unit shuts off then charge it back to 100%. Doing this is supposed to "recalibrate" the battery level indicator to give you more accurate readings... on a good day.

Just a suggestion but download the free app aMonitor and you can check out what processes are running in the background. It also has a more informative battery indicator.

I have never done this. I thought I read on here, in one of my threads, actually, that you don't have to do this. In fact it was better not to.
Shitums.
I never let it drain completely ~ I don't wanna be stuck anywhere with just a little bit of juice left.

You're supposed to do that with any LiON device.

Umm...I am no iExpert but maybe...just maybe his battery contact with iPad somehow got loose,I mean I had an ancient cellphone with a loose battery,it would frequently go dead similar to his ipad, then I used a bit of paper to tighten the battery in its place, from then on it lost its lets go dead fever.I am not suggesting to do similar as ipad battery is non-replaceable by user but if that is the case then apple service is the right thing to seek for. I am just saying a possibility.
