Those options are only on the opening page and I'd missed them.

You're welcome. But, for clarity's sake - those options are available wherever you are (in a book). Just tap the center of the screen and that "Aa" symbol will popup up so you can access it...

Have you checked their App Store to see if the game is available to download?
