This is a discussion on New Way to Downgrade iPhone 4 (4.0.2 to 4.0.1) Without SHSHs Blops on iPad within the iPad Hacking forums, part of the Apple iPad Discussions category; anyone had any luck ?...

Im afraid there is currently no way to downgrade the OS of an iDevice without saved SHSH blobs for the version you are trying to install. If there was a way, the security system would be worthless and anyone would be able to install any version they liked...
Also, the only public version of 4.x on iPad is 4.2.1 (4.3 is currently in beta). 4.0.1 4.0.2 and 4.1 were not released for iPad.
Sorry.
