I need to add: changing the iPad's Springboard plist like that is probably not a good idea. That plist is what makes the iPad behave like an iPad at the core/system level. It's the set of directions Apple uses to set the iPad up to operate.
Messing about with it is probably a good way to learn how to restore an iPad ...
