About LinkBacksI Watched a video on you tube how to install ssh , can someone watch it for me and tell me if I can use this exact method to install on an iPad3 running 5.1.1 if not can someone link me to a video to install on the ipad3 5.1.1, if you type the below in you tube you see the video.

Also I take it iTunes is not needed at all during this process or when we have to ssh ?

To install SSH on the iPad, open Cydia, search for OpenSSH, and install. Job done. Nice and simple!
User is root, password is alpine.

I installed OpenSSh on my iPad but app created you sure I don't need toggle ssh as well ? Like in the video I was talkin about ?

You can install the toggle if you want to be able to toggle it on and off. Your choice. If you've changed the password, I really don't see the point in toggling it off personally. It will not save any significant resources, turning it off... Originally Posted by jockmcd

There was no app after install of ssh so uninstalled it wasn't to sure if there should be 1 or not ? I also didn't know if I'm changing the password and username on my iPad or on a download of the software for the pc , I have nt bothered with the software for the computer I'm not to sure about it all yet , I would appreciate a bit of help on the things I've just mentioned , should I just do it like the video by dahacker13 ssh - on you tube?

Ok I've installed OpenSSh and togglessh now I've installed my computer software I've managed to use ssh and connect to iPad so that's all good here is my problem I would like to Change my password but i don't understand the below instruction
enter the passwd command in the shell. You will be prompted to provide your new password and confirm it.
What is the shell ? Where is this please ? Do I only need to do it on my iPad it would seem there's nothing to change on the iPad ?
