About LinkBacksCydia wants to update itself should I let it? But then it is not clear what I do next. I have .ipa files I want to install but I am not sure if I have to use SSH or some other method. Please advise how I get .ipa files in the right place in the ipad. I have my ipa files on my pc and I have itunes 9.2061 and my ipad sw is 3.2. TIA.

Yes let cydia update itself.
Installing ipa files you have downloaded form sites is illegal and not discussed on these forums.

apples file format for saving iphone and ipad apps to your computer. Itunes installs them for you if you purchase the apps. However If you download paid itunes apps illegally itunes wont install them and you have to do things to get them to install.
