So in my area we have brighthouse cable and they have an iPad app that lets you watch tv through. I got it from the app store yesterday and tried to start it and when I did , the screen just said that the app doesn't work on "jailbroken" devices... Is it common that apps don't work on a jb device?

Yeah, it seems that more and more of the cable/TV companies are figuring out ways to prevent jail broken iPads from running their apps. I guess they worry about having their signal(s) hacked and thus people getting the shows without paying for it. I can understand that (I hates me some pirates!).

That said, have a Google and see if you can find a workaround. There are a couple out there for Time Warner Cable - maybe there's one for yours?

Alright I found a workaround, but I can't figure it out. I downloaded the app, ifile, and the tweak I Ned, but I can't find the tweak in ifile. The directory is like var/null/mobile substrate/dynamic something... But I can't find the null folder... What am I missing here?
