So what the best JB method and what advantages does one have
I paid over 200 euros for apps, i am fortunately blessed atm and would love to believe its only the beginning, considering the events int he world that is.
I read, asked the same question before but did not own so many apps, the only reason i am curious about jail-breaking is i it makes my ipad more safer, more private and if their are more interesting apps that don't exist at the iTunes store
most important, can i still use all my cool apps
Hope i dont tick anyone off with the same question, but times do change so i do appreciate your understanding.

Jailbreaking Methods for the iPad
You'll have to give us details of what device and what verison of IOS you have installed, but check the "methods" sticky. The preference as regards best method is to work your way from top to bottom in that thread until you find the fist method that suits your device and firmware version. If you can't find a match, then you are probably out of luck.
If you have an iPad2 with anything other than 4.3.3 on it today then you have missed the train and will have to wait for a future jailbreak. You won't be able to upgrade or downgrade. Sorry.

I saw this post and in a moment of madness/boredom (delete as appropriate) I jail broke my iPad! What was I thinking, anyway, I just need to play around with it now to see what I can and can't do.
It was so quick I didn't even realise that it was jail broken at first!
Thanks (I think) Leigh for all the good info which finally persuaded me.

Nice one Gabe! Take it slow, and feel free to ask any Qs. Poke around in the apps & tweaks forum for some ideas...

A Forum moderator , with 2000 posts, and a clean non-JB iPAd (till now that is) , is quite an exception.
You will find out how boring the non JB ipad is. But a warning here. Do not put too many new tweaks on he iPAD. The more you put there. The more unstable it becomes . It feeds off you memory.
Think before you Sync Since you may Sink
The More Tweaks you have - Less Memory is left
