I just tried restoring it but i get an error and it says it can't restore the phone, how else can i kick the iPhone out of recovery mode? Or is there any thing else i can try/do?

    6. Go check it out.

I will offer a little help. Was the iPhone jailbroken? If so, put it into DFU mode and then restore.

    Plug it into the computer.
    Open iTunes.
    Turn the iPhone off.
Press and hold the power button for 3 sec.
    Release.
Press and hold power and home button for 10 sec.
Release power, but KEEP HOLDING HOME button for at least 20 sec.
iTunes should recognize the device in restore mode.

However, for your problem it looks like you should download TinyUmbrella (search!), connect the phone, and then press the "Exit Recovery" button...
