Official Apple IOS Firmware Download Links for iPad

As a Jailbreaker or hacker you may from time to time need a version of IOS which is no longer the current firmware for your device. Below are links to the Apple download servers for all versions of IOS for the iPad. Downloading these original IOS versions from Apple servers is considered the only legitimate source for official stock firmware.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Not all these firmware versions are necessarily jailbeakable! Do your research before using a file for a particular purpose!

As in, if you don't have SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.3, you cannot put it on your iPad. Cannot. And, that applies whether you want to jail break or not. The only firmware you can move to is iOS 4.3.5.

Or, if you don't know you have them - you probably don't. Or, if you have to ask, you probably don't. Or, if you've never jail broken your iPad before - you probably don't.

The odds are 99.9 to .1 that you don't. However, if you want to check anyway, see this link: HOW TO - Save your SHSH Blobs with TinyUmbrella

It'll guide you through a step of using Tiny Umbrella to see what blobs you have saved (or can save). And, it will provide THE definitive answer - if iOS 4.3.3 blobs do not show up as saved after you run Tiny Umbrella, you cannot load that version on your iPad (and thus jail break).

iOS 5 is available for download to developers. As I understand it, you can sign up with Apple and after you pay the $99 (yearly) fee, you'll be able to download the beta.

See the official Apple site for more details...
