App icon stuck on homescreen
I installed a game, uninstalled and after a respring the icon won't go away. The app is no longer installed. The only way to get it to disappear is to reinstall it and delete it but after a respring it comes back.
Any ideas?

What about, after deleting it (again!) - you try a reset? Maybe a full reboot will fix it...
Or, delete it and then sign out/in of the App Store?
Just throwing out ideas here - as I've never seen this (nor can I duplicate it). Sorry.

Re: App icon stuck on homescreen
I tried deleting then rebooting to no avail. I will try deleting and signing out when I get home from work. It's very odd I've never had this issue either.
Edit... It didn't happen until after I installed Folder Enhancer. Not sure if that affects anything but I will try removing it as well, but didn't think it was a issue since I'm on the latest updated official paid version.

I left it home today. Gonna let it sit, then go back and try a few more techniques. If they don't work I'll file it in a folder and forget about it lol.

I'm new to the world of Ipad but i have many years of Android dev experience and the first thing that comes to mind is that the icon is stuck in cache somehow. Not sure if thats even possible on the ipad but can you uninstall, clear springboard cache (if thats even possible), then reboot? I thought that I saw a Cidia tweak for clearing springboard cache.

Hey, I am such a noob to JB and I pad In general but, I finally had to delete an ap I did not want thru settings, usage and was able to delete from there. Like I said I am not the genius f4780 y and mickey330 are. Not even close, but it worked for me

I found a solution that seems to be working. Reinstall all the apps that the icon is hanging around on, then do a hard reset. When your device comes back on swipe on sbsettings and go into safe mode. Once in safe mode uninstall the offending apps as normal then exit safe mode. After you exit safe mode do another hard reset. This seems to be working for me but YMMV.

I think there is a tweak that is causing this issue. There was a brief moment yesterday that I was having this problem, I uninstalled a tweak and the problem was fixed. I can't remember what the tweak was though sorry, I'll post back if I remember. Meanwhile, removing recently installed tweaks might be a good place to start.
***It may have been Cydelete. Any chance you guys are using that app?
