I just uninstalled ovano on iPad 2 jailbroken and have lost my 3G signal. Is it safe to reset network settings and not lose jailbreak. I always look to this forum first for help, finally joined.

Resetting the network settings should not have any effect on your jail break. Want me to try it on mine first? It's an iPad 1.Originally Posted by wench
I can do it as soon as I get home, about an hour.

We'll know as soon as it reboots. I have the Apple logo. I have the changed font for time. I have all the icons in the places that they were before the reset. After I entered my static IP address information, I have Cydia.Originally Posted by Fid

I'd call that a success.
Good luck.

Hi Leelai, I had nothing to lose. I have a good back up and it is an iPad 1. No problem with jail breaking again. And putting my apps back. There is not much on it. I didn't mind being a guinea pig.Originally Posted by leelai

Thank you all for your information and threads, I have been reading IPF for over a year, great forum. Finally joined, but still not sure if I can reset my network and not lose my jailbreak, would lose it if I could not watch Downton Abby before my sis did
So do I have to know my static ip stuff, kinda beyond me? Just want my 3G back on, BTW, has anyone else had problems with octavo. It seemed to slow my 3G down
I still have a back up on 5.1.1, yet on cydia it also shows a 6.0, that I have never updated, is that another problem?
