If I continue the same consumption behavior as I have established in the past two years with my original iPad, getting this Kindle 9" tablet will SAVE me money!

Yes, we have choices. It is nice to have the ability to consider all possibilities, and not just an Apple device.

I've got the Kindle Fire HD 10" on order, but I see it as a convenience, rather than a savings. If I wanted to save money, I'd be better off not buying any tablet, lol. I do like the Prime book lending and movies, but find them limited. I still buy books and watch Netflix. I'm signing up for the $50 data plan, too. But that's just a one-year offer.

I'm waiting for the Surface pro, too. Seems like it's going to take forever.

My Kindle Fire HD is still a month from delivery, too.

Of course, these are first world probs, and I'm glad we have at least this many devices to compare and choose from.

I can afford more devices than I own, but I still limit myself. It would do me no good to buy lots of devices I wouldn't use or would have to spend a lot of time figuring out. Even with many options, I pick and buy those that are user friendly and reliable, and that I can reasonably use.

If the weight is not an issue, I would suggest you get the 4th Gen New iPad. In my opinion, the 5th generation won't have much difference. (should be thinner/lighter/more drive space/8M iSight Camera/better front camera)
Actually I would think Apple should not have released the 3rd gen New iPad earlier this year. in my opinion, this 4th gen new iPad is the true mature product.

It's been hard to resist all the new tablets and stuff but the trusty iPad 2 keeps chugging along. I'm able to block out all the news and ads for better and newer products from my mind. Very tempting but I'm gonna lay low for now. I'm sure I won't be able to hold off forever or anything. Of course. :)
