Very nicely done, thanks. I have 60+ apps, and have yet to have one crash - but I don't do games either.
I only used a laptop for travel (MacAir) & the iPad does everything I need it to do, and then some.
I tried a Netbook, thought & still think it's useless (same for Win O/S, but that's me) - wouldn't pay $0.05 for one, now that I've tried one.
A plus that's overlooked is the linking - especially my calendar - desktop (x2), iPhone - enter anywhere, and everything is updated, then there's the locator. My Grandson "borrowed" my iPad, and I was able to QUICKLY locate him on my acreage, & retrieve my toy...
Finally, there's the battery life and the iPhone like start-up. Anyone who's had to wait for a Win O/S start-up will instantly appreciate that feature..
Why would Apple even want ipad to replace a computer then they couldn't sell the macbooks! They aren't stupid.
Just FYI you can multitask if you jailbreak your iPad with an app called Backgrounder.
Sounds like you aren't happy.
With a few exceptions I think your review is spot on..
Thanks for taking the time to write it. Now when someone asks me what I think of my iPad I can just send them a link to your post.
No problems with crashing applications, and I don't think the price is out of line with the product. For all the devices I own, and it's a scary-big list, this is a great piece of gear.
Prior to owning one I was the loudest naysayer in the room. Boy was I wrong.
