So I was taking a sneak peak at my Xmas present (iPad 4) and looking at a map thenbit froze completely. I called tech support they had me call applecare who had me hold both buttons for 10 secs. This shut it off. When it turned on, it went green and froze. The guy on phone says Ooo nooo. Then explained this happens a lot worth new ipads and oncertain it's restored its Usually perfect.

Now I have to restore my brand new iPad that I've only turned on3 times. I'm about to burst into flames ........ toy.
Anyone else have this problem?

You got a defective one....this happens sometimes with all electronic gadgets. It is not the end of the world. You can just take it back and exchange it for a brand new one. It's a pretty rare problem, too.

That's not that common...

Verizon returned it for me even after their 14 day policy. And sorry for the language, I thought it was ok since I censored it
