This is very unofficial, but I was told at an Apple Store that volume discounts start at round about $5000.

Apple store prices are set by corporate. I don't think Apple store employees are commission based. But it never hurts to ask. Every year, the Apple website and various stores around the United States offer "Black Friday" discounts. I see you are in the UK? You might go to a non-Apple retailer and ask them for a discount or if they offer bundles on accessories. Those kinds of retailers will probably work with you in giving you a deal to secure your purchase.Originally Posted by GraySmith
Apple stores are profit centers for the company. As long as they make money and bring in a lot of customers, they don't need to offer discounts.
Yes, that's right. By the time I'm done, I'll have bought an iMac, an MBP, a couple of iPad minis and a few iPod nanos. I have an Apple business account, so my total purchases accumulate. Something that may be of interest to Canadians is that with an Apple business account, you get a tax receipt at the end of the year that you can file with your taxes for a refund. This is good regardless of the actual amount of business use your computer system is put to.Originally Posted by iJamesH
