I have a somewhat strange and unique question for anyone that wants to answer. If you look at the attached photo, you'll see my problem. This is the third time this is happened. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can somebody please help me with this? Thanks for your time. And is there another option for the cord that Apple gives you? Even if it's from a different manufacturer but still does the same thing?

The regular cables don't last very long for me either. I have a couple that look like yours. That Monster cable has been kicking around in my truck tangled up among a load of other cables, and still looks like new.

The only problem I have with it is that it is so hefty that if anything breaks, it is likely to be the iPad 30-pin socket.

I'm using a few old cables from my iPod Classic and iPod Touch. I do use the cable that came with my iPad3 as well, but the bigger iPod ones have 2 push notches on the side that make it easier to unplug for me.
